Realistic Tempestua The Hippocamp

This is my OC, Tempestua. I started drawing her a while ago and recently decided i was going to begin finishing a load of my drawings as i'm working on more fanart at the moment aswell. Hippocamps are basically the mermaids of the fantasy equine world and are wildly regarded as the most beautiful and hypnotic of all. They have odd body shapes and their incredible height can make it difficult to manoeuvre around on land, this means they are more comfortable in the ocean where their bodies are weightless.

Tempestua is the sister of my other Hippocamp Vortex.

Drawn on paper with 2H, HB, 4B, 8B pencils and black fine-liner, the cleanup and piece together was done in Gimp. Roughly 5 hours work
